I got transcriptassist after reading Kerri's recommendation and I love it. I am working hard on being able to read from the computer as well. I had the urge to print the TT, but even just putting it on the desktop requires constant check on updates. Can't imagine printing it each time.
You gave me another good idea, Kerri, with putting the notes of importance into the transcriptassist. I love it.
Just my 2 cent's worth on Kerri's transcripassist recommendation.
Happy studying.

| I'll add my 2 cents. I have printed out the TT before, but it uses a ton of resources! I also had a lot of trouble finding things. I don't use my printed copy anymore. I use onenote and I print the TT to onenote, so that if I am searching something, it can come up with the TTs. This has helped my immensely when I am doing my assignments. I also have a copy of TT on my desktop, which I refer to constantly. I like a paper copy of things, but I find that since it changes so frequently, the TT is just much better to have digitally. Hope that helps! Melanie

| Thanks. I'm going to look into OneNote and TranscriptionAssist. I think the costs are pretty different but need to get the one that will help the most. I've decided against printing the TT after all I've read. I am also one of those "old school" people that likes a hard copy of everything, but need to get out of the habit. Plus it is WAY easier to keyword search on the computer. I think I would rather just have 2 monitors at some point in the future. That seems SOOOOO convenient.

| I am one of those "old school" people. I like to have the TT's in hand however, after reading the replies I think it is time to move into the 21st century! Thanks for the information! Dawn

Two monitors is definitely the way to go once you start working. I'd be at a real loss without my second screen. My work is always on the primary screen, and I can open a few reference materials at a time on the second and never miss a beat.
I did that for the last few sessions of classwork as well once I upgraded to the dual monitors.

| Kerri I have one note but have never figured out how to organize it, do you know if there is a easy way to send it to the one your using. I downloaded the trial and it looks easier to use but hate to lose everything I put in Onenote. Thanks Sharon

I just finished up Session 6, and lately I've been sensing the need to get better organized. One Note doesn't seem to be working for me.. maybe I need to put more time into understanding its structure, but time isn't something I have a lot of lately. I think the idea of putting TT onto my desktop is just capital! Done deal.
If anyone else out there has some organizational ideas that they've come up with to make their transcription studies easier, I'm all ears!!!!! And thanks in advance!
