Hi everyone,

I just joined AHDI online but would love to go to a local chapter meeting. I am in Delaware so either South Jersey or Maryland would suit me. I just graduated a few weeks ago and have started the job search. I'm hoping to network with some local MT companies to help my job search.

Would you email those instructions to me too? I am interested in setting up a local chapter as well. I live in MS and the nearest chapter is in Memphis, Tn.

Tomorrow they are conducting a CMT/RMT review which I am attending. Sure would be nice to have something local.

If you can't find it on your computer can you direct me where to find the instructions on the AHDI website. For some reason I have a hard time navigating that website.

I looked on AHDI's website and noticed there is no local state chapter for Maryland. The closest one is PA (like New Jersey). I really wonder why because there are so many hospitals in Maryland, espec. around Baltimore. I am a recent graduate (December 2009) and want to try some networking but there is no local chapter.

Any Maryland M-Tec people out there that would be interested in forming a Maryland chapter? I read on AHDI's website the steps to follow, and me being a new graduate, it would be really hard to do but I just thought I would put it out here.

All alone in Maryland - where are the MTs?

I am a member of AHDI and just gradutated from MTEC. I live in NY (about an 1 hour and 20 out of the city) and am looking for a local chapter, too. Surprised there is no tri-state chapter.

I found your other post....lol. I am also a member of AHDI and I just joined the online AHDI association and am waiting for a reply back from them. Hopefully we'll get more responses from people who are interested and then we could start a South/Central NJ Chapter! Don't know how much I'd be able to do with an almost 2 year old, but I don't mind bringing her places with me if everyone else doesn't mind..lol. I think I'm going to post another message on another MT Facebook group that I belong to. Maybe there are other MTs who don't go to M-Tec that are interested.

Count me in as another NJ Student who'd be interested in starting up a chapter in NJ. Where are you located? I'm in the Princeton/Central NJ area. Suprised to see that there isn't one already, as there are so many major healhcare organizations/hospital networks in this highly populated state!! I actually just became an AHDI student member and have applied for membership in the M-TEC Chapter, too!

Thanks so much for your reply Nancy. I emailed AHDI to find out some information and they said their list on the website was down, but she sent me a PDF file of the list of all state local chapters. You are right. The closest are in PA, and there are 3 of them there, but all of them are far from me. PA is a BIG state! LOL Anyway, I joined the online organization and I also emailed AHDI again to find out how it is that a local chapter gets started. I was thinking about posting something on here to see if there are any NJ M-Tec students or graduates who would be interested in starting a local chapter. Gotta start somewhere, right!

When I started M-TEC, I asked around if there was a chapter in NJ. Everyone I talked to said there wasn't one. I think the closest one was in PA. To my knowledge, no one has started a chapter here in NJ yet. If you find info to the contrary, though, please do post and let us other New Jerseyans know. Thanks.

Local State Chapters

Does anyone know how to find out if you have a local MT chapter in your state? I've tried the AHDI website but I can't find anything there. I did a search on here but the listing to the AHDI website is old. I'm trying to find a local chapter in NJ that I can physically participate in. If not, then I'll join the online association.
