Have been busy studying and adjusting to new family schedule. But, yes, I know exactly where Dilltown is and the Bed and Breakfast. We like to go there and ride the bike trail. It's beautiful. We can hit the trail from NantyGlo, which is closer, but Dilltown was always my favorite. Now we can hit the trail in Ebensburg, 10 minutes away, so it's hard to justify the drive to Dilltown, unfortunately, LOL. I have always wanted to attend the herb festival at the bed and breakfast, maybe some day.

The furnace I'm feeding is an outside furnace. We couldn't afford to heat this old farmhouse without it. The one good thing about my husband's new job is that he will now be home to take care of the furnace. They are cost effective, but hard work, and I am no longer able to shovel as well as I use to. I've had an outside furnace for the past 20 years and have been taking care of it myself for the past 8 years, since my husband was on the road driving. I'm looking forward to a break from it, since he will be home now. ~Denise

Hi Denise,

Your name will be easy to remember since my mom has the same name. It's nice to hear that you know where Dilltown is and the Ghost Town Trail. I used to walk the trail near the Wehrum stop when we lived right beside it but since we moved I haven't been on it. I have heard that there are different events that they have but I haven't been to any of them. Maybe when I have more time.

Good luck with your studies!

Gabrielle

I'm with ya ... I would have loved to seen an all PA super bowl ... I still think the Eagles got ripped off in the last few minutes on a call that should have been pass interference ... oh well, we can't replay the game can we?

I'm "behind" also ... in session 10 ...

Hello All!

I am potential student from southwestern PA.  Don't hate me but I have to say congrats to the STEELERS!    I am just trying to find the courage to jump in to the program.  I've done a good bit of research & have been drawn back to M-TEC time & time again.  I've never posted on a forum before so this is all new to me also.  Can anyone tell me how proficient one should be in Microsoft Word before starting the program?  I am only self-taught & don't want to be in over my head before I even begin.  It is nice to see some fellow Pennsylvanians here!

Thanks!

Rebecca

Ah yes the Steelers I would have loved to have seen the Steelers play the Eagles But, I am a diehard Steelers fan!

As for Word, how much do you know and what do you feel you don't know at this point? This course is the best out there ... yes, I am quite biased!

I live in Centre Co., very near the main PSU campus ... so you know what college team I root for also!

I agree that the Steelers & the Eagles would have made for a great PA Super Bowl.  But I am happy that the Steelers won for PA anyway.

As for MS Word, I did spend some time with a tutorial & feel better about it.  I am now considering purchasing the 2007 version with One Note.  (I was impressed with One Note.)  And I am still trying to find that courage to just jump in!  It is intimidating to think of taking on such challenge after being out of school for going on 14 years.

Hope to be joining you as a student soon!

Greetings from Stewartstown, PA, which is just south of York, off I-83.

This is very exciting, yet, I'm a little overwhelmed, it has been a long, long time since I've been in school

Just getting started on Session 1!
