Hi All,

I just enrolled  Sunday and am anxiously awaiting my box!  For any of you other Oregonians, I am in Beaverton.  I look forward to talking to everyone on the site soon.

Just a little about me--I'm 38 and have a  Bachelors degree under my belt.  I also have 2 certifications in personal training and massage therapy.  I'm hoping the anatomy I had to learn for those will help me with this subject matter.  I have 2 stepchildren ages 13 and 21 and I am trying to get pregnant right now.  I decided to take this course because I wanted to work at home when the baby was born and I love learning about medicine.  I think it is so interesting! I actually tested with a national company and passed the objective portion and failed the transcription portion so schooling was my next step.  I looked at a variety of schools before choosing M-Tec.  I think this was the best decision I could make!

I hope to talk to fellow students soon!

Amy

Hi Sunshine,

I'm from Oregon (not a native), lived there since 1972; moved to New Mexico in 2007.  Couldn't take the rain anymore, but do miss the Portland Metro area in many ways.

Good luck with the course!  Hope to chat with you in the future.

Hi Amy,

I live in Oregon too. I'm in southern Oregon, near Ashland. How about you? I'm almost done, in the middle of session 16. Finally! I'm on extensions at this point...

Add one more Oregonian... I'm in Sherwood, near Tigard/Tualatin.  Cool weather to come, thank goodness!

Another Oregonian here (proud to say that I am native, LOL!).  I'm born and raised in the SW corner of the state, but we're currently living in Newberg with hubby's work.

Welcome!

Hi Amy, and welcome!

There are more Oregonians here than I thought.  What a pleasant surprise.

I live in N. Portland (St. Johns) and am desperately trying to finish up this course before my deadline on the 21st of this month.  Being near the end, I can tell you that you are in for a very interesting and (I think) challenging ride!  I have loved it.

Good luck to you!

Hi Amy:

I am in Hillsboro and started about 2 weeks ago.  I am RN looking to work from home when I retire!  You are taking on many things all at once; my hat is off to you!!  Maybe we can help each other out from time to time...

Hi!

I wasn't sure if I posted in the right spot so I am posting again.  I am in session 3 which has really slowed me down.  I would be happy to keep in touch with you as we go through the course and maybe help each other.

My personal email is sweets1amy@netscape.net

Welcome!

Amy

Hello fellow Oregonians!

I just finished unpacking my box of books into my office space, so I'm all set to begin Session 1!  I am excited and little overwhelmed, but I expected that.  I live in eastern Oregon (Baker City), pretty far away from where most of you live.  I am a native Oregonian; I've lived in several other states over the years, but Oregon has always been my home.  I'm an at-home mom to three girls and a boy, ranging in age from 15 months to 10 years.  The MT profession has always seemed an intriguing career possibility for someone like me who wants to be with her children and have a career also.  I figured there was really only one way to find out for sure.  So, here I am.

I hope to get to know some of you throughout this process.  Best wishes for continued success in your studies!

Andie
