Has anyone started out with a CAA grant, then applied for MyCAA and got approved? I'm trying to see how to get my extensions paid for since the original CAA doesn't exist anymore, and there has been some paperwork issues with CAA.
I'll send you my email address through pm if you don't want to discuss any of this over an open forum.
Thanks a bunch!!
Lacy

| I'm sorry I can't help you. I do have a question though. I'm new to this program and went through MyCaa. What extensions are you talking about? Do I need to know something I don't know? Thanks for your help! Suzy

The extensions I am referring to are for this course since I won't finish by my close date. I predict I will need 6 months of extensions.
When I signed up, it was originally CAA through Fleet and Family Support. In order to qualify for the second year of grant money (the $6k was split into $3k/year which I have already received the first $3K), you had to call in every 2 months and then fill out some paperwork in order to receive your second year's grant money. Well, I apparently had until 1/15 to turn in my paperwork, which I had never received. Things seem to have gotten messed up with the change to Military One Source, and now because of some paperwork, I don't qualify for the second year's $3K through CAA with Fleet and Family Support. I may be able to qualify through MyCAA, but I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat I am.
It's all good though. I'll pay for the extensions out of my own pocket if need be. This course is worth every penny

| Have you found the answer to your question about CAA and if they will cover the cost of extending? I am in the same situation as you are. Ellen
