| Brandy, you rock! You guys will LOVE this little gem. I played around with it after she sent it to me the other day. It is so easy to search for a word that you just can't make out. For example, say that you are transcribing and the dictator says coronary (blah, blah, blah). There is a missing word there, but you just can't make it out because the tape skipped right at that point. Or he sneezed. Or maybe the background noise increased at that particular spot. The only thing you could make out of the whole word was the letter "z." You can simply put that "z" into the search bar and it will take you to every word on the BMT that has a "z" in it. Once you do that, you may find the word "revascularization." You research it and it fits! So maybe, just maybe he was saying coronary revascularization. Just make SURE that you understand the context of the report before you decide on what word he might be saying. There's no guarantee that you will find your word this way, but it is one more tool to use. Using my OneNote, a search with a single letter only takes me to all words that begin with that letter.
